St. Vincent De Paul Youth

Founded: 2002

Membership: 11th & 12th grade youth who want to put their Catholic Faith into ACTION!!

Mission Statement: “To recognize the different types of poverty in our community so that assistance can be given in a loving, dignity-promoting manner.”

Meetings: First Sunday of each month at 11:40 a.m. in PLC – Library

Activities: One per month (such as visiting nursing home residents, assisting with the SVdP Fall Festival & Halloween Carnival and the Annual Giving Tree, hosting Valentine parties and cookouts for handicapped adults, participation in Operation Christmas Child, sponsoring “Baskets for Babies” and “Christmas in July”, sharing crafts with the children at Holy Angels, attending a year-end retreat & hands-on ministry in Charleston, SC, etc.)

Annual Fundraiser: Spring Yard Sale

Annual membership drive is in Sept; however, all interested youth are welcomed anytime.
